i held out hope, thinking that if the sun managed to kiss the cloud that i was standing inside it would eventually turn pink or orange, as it seemed to make sense to my morning mind. unfortunately, it only turned dark grey, then grey, then light grey, and eventually a depressing lonely shade of yellow.
